Or maybe just LA/Miami. How do I know? I’m not from either. Headline grabs you though, right? But it does seem to me that the rumors were true — people are nicer here.

Maybe Miami has made me “prickly” but I am just not used to people saying hi and good morning just because it’s nice. It’s more like, “What the hell do you want from me. And NO.”

But dude, even the bums in Santa Monica are polite! I admit I was put off at first by the hordes of homeless people that have congregated in SM (I’ll recount my library experience in a later post) but there’s this guy on the corner of my street, you stroll by on the way to the grocery, he tips his hat, tells you good morning, and even manages a compliment or two.

Nice…

I think it was SM that Aunty Lizzie was tellin me the weather is “perfect”. I’m not sure, but wherever she is, she was tellin me about the weather… how because of where it is relative to the equator and I guess it’s place in the cosmos or whatever, it’s never quite that hot or cold. Really quite a nice story to hear for the occasion being endured at the time.

I always found the further you go south in Cali the nicer people get. Make sure you get to SD!!! Don’t not go there like people do when they live so close!
