Top Five Cheesy 90s Songs

February 9th, 2007

The 80s are over-rated.

Or rather, the 90s are under-rated.

At least when it comes cheesy music.

There is so much 90s cheese that is yet to be explored (and dissected on VH1). Considering the plethora of musical material from which I must select (no hanging prepositions here!), I will stick to songs that somehow made it to be hits at Nuts — basically the only show in town when it came to going out as a teen in Trinidad — but were absolute rubbish.

And here you go:

  1. Barbie Girl
  2. Mmmm Bop (I actually still love this one)
  3. Coco Jamboo – Mr. President (oooooh, this one should bring back some memories)
  4. Blue (da ba dee da ba di) — Eiffel 65
  5. ANYTHING by VengaBoys (remember the dance, ladies?)

Have a good weekend y’awl :)
