I’m breaking through (Social Experiments#2)
April 8th, 2007
So I have to read this book for work… I’m supposed to write a recommendation on it at the end.Maybe. If it’s worth it.
Anyway, it’s kind of a self-help book, the kind I never read. For the weak, I say.
Anyway, it’s called Two Weeks to a Breakthrough: How to Zoom Towards Your Goal in 14 Days or Less.
Rather serendipitously, I have a goal.
You see, I have HAVE HAVE to do my GMAT before the end of May. I don’t DON’t DON’T want to do it AT ALL.
But I have HAVE HAVE to…
It’s not fear that’s gripping me; it’s inertia.
I am lazy, out of practice and due for a swift kick in the ass.
So…
I’m deciding to try a thing. I will actually follow this book’s mumbo jumbo and see where I am with this GMAT tra-la-la in two weeks.
Today is the first day… one of my daily challenges is to share my goal with as many people as possible.
Mission accomplished. Yay for blogs
Another is to actually do some preparation for the GMAT. It’s Easter Sunday so we’ll see how that goes. Also The Sopranos AND Entourage have season premieres tonight. Talk about a daily challenge.
But now that I have reaffirmed by goal by sharing it with the many, I am filled with renewed vigor.
Self-help is ALL about psyching yourself into something.
Oh and one more thing… I’m supposed to make a request of someone in a position to help me with my goal. If anyone has any GMAT, MBA or grad school advice, give it up, bitches!
Oh and have a Happy Bunny Day.

GMAT - study hard, esp the maths
MBA - definitely needed in the current climate, its the new BA
Grad School - the hardest thing is the singular purpose of getting in , and then they encourage (force) you to work in teams… conterproductive.
good luck.
